15th Grade AFF John Woodyear- Smith email

Who

Boys born in 1993.

Where and when

Club representative competition playing across Auckland.

All home games are at Glover Park or Crossfields Reserve.

Kick-off times are dependant upon player numbers and ground availability, but may be on Saturdays around 2pm.

How

  • The teams play on a full-sized pitch.

  • Games are 35 minutes each way with a 5 minute half-time.

  • Offside rule is played.

  • The club does not tolerate dirty play or poor sports - this includes parents and supporters.

Teams

Teams have 11 players and reserves.

All teams compete in the Soccer2 leagues competing home and away against teams from the Auckland City region or in the higher standard Metropolitan leagues which includes teams from the North Shore region. We aim to ensure players compete at the highest level commensurate with their abilities and in the past have joined forces with the Ellerslie Club (when neither has sufficient numbers on its own) to form teams under an East City banner to play in these higher divisions. On some occasions exceptional players may be able to play in under 17 competition on a Saturday with Soccer2 or on a Sunday in the metropolitan league. Attendance at club trials is vital to ensure placement in the most appropriate teams.

Season

The club rep (Soccer2) teams begin play on 1 April. There will be games on the last Saturday of the April school holidays and the first and last Saturdays of the June/July school holidays. The season finishes at the end of August.
