Trials Results

Click here for the results of the recent 10th grade trials. Thank you to all players and parents for attending. Congratulations to those who have made the squads. To those who didn’t, you will be placed in Tamaki league teams and rest assured that the standard of football is very competitive in this league also.

Premier A team

A team: Your coach this year is Gary Norris. There will be two training sessions a week. The club will provide training on Mondays which will be a combined session with the second premier team. Gary will be in touch with you all directly to arrange the second training session but it will most likely be on Thursday afternoons. This is a team only session. Specialist keeper training will be available for Josh through the club.

Please note that there is the additional levy of $60 to be paid for the premier teams. This will need to be paid over the next week or so.

Premier B team

B team: Your coach this year will be Wayne Besant. As with the A squad there will be two training sessions a week - the one provided by the club for the premier teams (Monday afternoons as above) and the other to be arranged by Wayne.

As with the A team, B team players please note that there is the additional levy of $60 to be paid for the premier teams. This will need to be paid over the next week or so.

C and D Teams

We are looking for parental volunteers to coach the C and D teams with a training session during the week and management on a Saturday for the game. If you are available please contact your grade co-ordinator, Fiona Hall, on 021 893 060 or at f-hall@xtra.co.nz. As set out on the club website there are club training available to teams who wish to take up the offer at a cost of around $40-$60 per player for the season. There are limited sessions available so if this is preferred by the team you should indicate this as soon as possible. A coach/manager on Saturdays will still need to be available.

Thanks again to all players and parents for attending the trials.

Who

Boys born in 1998.

Where and when

10th grade has two leagues - Club representative and Tamaki.

Club representative teams play across Auckland, 1 week at home the next away.

Tamaki league teams play at Glover Park, Elm Park, Bucklands Beach, Mt Wellington and Ellerslie.

Kick-off times are dependant upon player numbers and ground availability, but may be on Saturdays at 9 or 10am.

Grounds

How

  • The teams play on 1/2 of a normal pitch with small goals.

  • Games are 25 minutes each way.

  • Offside rule is played.

  • The club does not tolerate dirty play or poor sports - this includes parents and supporters.

Teams

Each team has nine players.
Where possible, within the Tamaki League,  we put friends in the same team.

Season

The first games for the In-house and Tamaki Leagues are in May and the season finishes with a Gala Day Tournament at Glover Park at the end of August.
These teams don't play during the public school holidays.
