2019 Grade Identification/Trials

The 2019 Grade Identification & Trial Process was in the form of the Pre-Season Programme

From here, players were put in to the appropriate Academy/Rep, AFF, or Conference/Metro teams

Players who were selected for the 2018 season will still need to attend the Pre-Season Programme, as top teams are selected only from this

Boys/Girls trials are held together by Grade

  • Players must be members
  • Number of teams differs by grade and player capabilities

PLEASE NOTE; Top teams have professional training sessions at an additional cost. Attendance of these sessions is a commitment required to play in an ESAFC top team. If you cannot commit, you must urgently advise your coach so that another team can be found for you

15th/16th/17th Grade Top Teams play on Sundays as part of the AFF/NFF Metro & Conference leagues

Leagues are competitive, representative football playing all over Auckland against other clubs

Trials are held at the beginning of each season to identify players in to teams

Any player selected to the top teams must commit to two training sessions per week to play

All home games are at one of our four pitches; Madills Farm, Crossfields Reserve, Ngahue Reserve, or Glover Park

For weekly fixtures, please visit the AFF Website CLICK HERE

In the AFF & Metro/Conference competitions, one week you play at home against a visiting club team and the next you will play away at a different club somewhere else in Auckland

The season is split in to two rounds; Grading Round, which ensures teams of equal ability play against one another, and then Championship Round, which start again on zero points with teams played in more even competition

Cancellations are notified on the Auckland Football Federation website

AFF 15th Grade games are 35 minutes each half, Metro/Conference are 40 each half

All 16th/17th Grade games are 40 minutes each half

Teams have 11 players on the field, including a goalkeeper, and can field up to 3 playing reserves
